Does your business feel like a dream come true?  Or does it feel heavy…like each work day is filled with so much resistance?  I hear so many entrepreneurs talk about how they started their own business because they wanted to do what they LOVE…but if it’s not in sync with who you are, it can feel like a total beatdown.

But here’s the thing…it doesn’t have to be that way.  The key to owning a business that lights you up is finding the sweet spot where you’re able meet the needs of your audience, while also being in total alignment by doing what you love.

On today’s episode of Amplified AF I’m going to share with you the shift that changed everything in my business–and I’ll share how you can get into full alignment, too.

Just a quick intro if it’s your first time here!  My name is Kate–I’m an expert conversion copywriter who has honed ninja-like skills with creating offers that meet my people’s needs.  I love sharing what I’ve learned with other entrepreneurs so they can be fully aligned, too.

Quote of the day: “If you’re selling something that FEELS exhausting or heavy–if you’re not aligned with it–it will NOT resonate with your audience.  Your energy is what attracts your people to you.”

So let me set the stage for you: it was early 2020 and I’d just come down from the high during our Copy That Converts (CTC) launch. While I am in LOVE with CTC, the rest of my business just felt heavy.  I was at a mastermind event and all of a sudden, the words just came tumbling out of my mouth: “I just don’t know if I can do this anymore.

Through tears I shared how while I loved our one-on-one training, the rest of my business just felt OFF.  I left there and spent two weeks unplugging (hello, romance novels!), before realizing I needed to have a legit gut check so I could figure out what my audience truly needed.  The reality was that I had been so busy trying to do everything “correctly,” that I was losing the authenticity of my own passion, and that made everything I did feel downright tough.

So what did I do? Well, first I threw away the rule book one what I was “supposed” to do. Then decided to actively listen to what my people were saying.  Once I had that understanding in place, I really got in tune with what I love (that happens to be live coaching). The result?  The resistance was gone…”work” became almost effortless.

And my business became fun again.

If you’re saying, “Oh em gee, Kate…you are speaking my language!” I’ve got some tips to help you find that sweet spot where you’re meeting your people’s needs AND having fun doing it so your business can be fun again, too.

So grab your favorite journal and pen, get comfy, and ask yourself these questions:

  • What does my audience want, and what do they need?
  • Where do things feel heavy to me in my business? Why do they feel that way?
  • How can I meet my people’s needs in a way that is aligned with who I am, and what I love?

Trust me, the number one ingredient to creating OMG, take-my-money-offers is your energy behind the offer. If you are meeting your audience’s needs, but not in a way that lights you up, it will always miss the mark. Finding that sweet spot starts with listening to what they need, then marrying it with a method that totally lights you up.

Take it from me, homeslice…you don’t want to wait until you have a full business breakdown to make this shift.  Your people are more than happy to tell you what they want and need or what their struggles are–they’re looking for a solution!  Pay attention to what they’re telling you, then make changes as needed.  When you have a willingness to shift away from what’s expected to what your people need, that’s the first step toward becoming fully aligned.

Finding a more aligned way of creating offers will yield massive results for your people–and your business.  Not only will they be beyond ready to grab your offers, but you will feel totally in love with your business– and it will impact people’s lives like never before.

That’s the dream, my friend.  Now get to it!
