I hear a lot of people in the online space say that writing launch copy feels massively overwhelming. And you know what? It CAN be…but only if you let it.
There is so much that goes into a launch that it can make you want to run for the hills. But the reason that overwhelm takes hold is because there isn’t a solid plan.
Today on Amplified AF, we’re going to talk about how mapping out the journey of your launch can be a game changer. The key to more effective launches is to create a more cohesive journey throughout the launch. So let’s chat about how we can make that happen.
Hold up a sec! I wanted to introduce myself, just in case it’s your first time here. Welcome! I’m Kate–a conversion copywriting expert who is all about helping entrepreneurs own their voice, share their voice and stand out in the online space–it’s my JAM.
Quote of the Day: “When you can sit down and map out your launch as a journey, writing your copy becomes so much easier and more effective.”
So you know how it goes…you know you need to sit down and write the copy for your launch, but there is SO much to do. Emails, sales pages, Facebook ads–oh my!
The thing is, the problem comes when there’s no strategy. Remember, the point of your copy is to move people through the entire launch journey, but if you don’t have it mapped out, it’s hard to even start. But you wouldn’t jump in your car and drive without knowing how to get to where you’re going, right?
The same logic applies to your launch.
And I hear what you’re asking…”So Kate, how exactly do I go about drawing that map?” Start by asking yourself…
- What am I saying to invite people in?
- What do I want to say to warm them up?
- Where are they stuck/what are they struggling with?
- What do they need to hear to make my offer a no-brainer?
- What do they need to let go of to take that next step?
Once you’ve gotten clear on this, you now have an intention for every piece of copy. This clarity will not only help you write faster, but your copy will resonate even better with your people.
Then all you’ve got to do is sit down and write.
And I get it…there’s a temptation to skip this step, my friend, but if you do you’re going to keep staring at a blank cursor and feel lost and overwhelmed. But I promise you that when you have this messaging foundation in place, it becomes so easy.
It’s definitely worth the effort.
